Snack Trap Word Search Instructions

  • Find the decoy snacks scattered throughout the puzzle grid. They're crunchy, sneaky, and very distracting.

  • Hidden somewhere in a straight line (no diagonals, promise!) is a secret message from a possible trickster.

  • Watch out for character names like Mocha, Charlie, and Ollie hiding in the empty spaces. They’re just showing off—don’t let their cameos confuse you!

Remember: snacks are clues, messages reveal the truth, and character shoutouts are just part of the paw-zzling charm.

Word Scrambles

Unscramble the floating feathers to reveal Ollie’s whispered message.

  • Rearrange the letters to discover secret backyard words or clues.

  • Each scramble connects to a moment in the story—peek at nearby pages if you're stuck.

  • Helper hint from Ollie: “I whisper backwards sometimes. Try spelling it in reverse!”

Helpster or Trickster?

Figure out who’s wagging with kindness—or causing playful chaos.

  • Read the character’s actions or choices.

  • Decide: Were they being helpful? Or did they leave muddy paw prints behind?

  • Mocha’s advice: “If they stole snacks and smiled, they’re probably both.”

Hidden Messages & Clue

This backyard is full of secrets—you just have to dig a little.

  • Look for patterns, bold letters, compass markings, or feather trails.

  • Some pages contain extra hints if you color or solve nearby puzzles first.

  • Clue from Noah: “My tail thumps when there’s truth nearby.”

Coloring Clue Combos

Color with purpose. Clues may be hiding in your hues.

  • Shade in sections of the page. Some designs unlock secret shapes or messages when fully colored.

  • Use compass directions to guide your crayon choices—north might need yellow!

  • Ollie’s whisper: “Don’t skip the stump. That’s where Charlie hides the facts.”

Backyard Investigations
(Mini Mysteries)

Use all your backyard tools—words, clues, compass stamps, and coloring—to solve the scene.

  • Combine puzzles and clues across multiple pages.

  • Each mystery leads to a big reveal in the final chapter!

  • Mocha’s tip: “When in doubt, follow the squirrel. He always knows.”

Dot-to-Dot Puzzle

Some pictures hide in plain sight—you just need to connect the right dots to uncover them.

  • Start at dot 1 or dot A (depending on your puzzle!) and follow in order—no skipping, even if Ollie thinks it’s beneath him.

  • Connect each dot carefully to reveal a hidden image—part surprise, part snuggle-worthy masterpiece.

  • Once the picture appears, grab your crayons, decode its secrets, and give it all the flair only you can.
